1. Who runs TringTring

TringTring is operated by Camber Logic Ltd (England & Wales), referred to here as "we", "us" or "the operator". For anything in this document — including data or deletion requests — contact admin@tringtring.app.

For data-protection purposes, Camber Logic Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. What the service is

TringTring is an invite-only, audio-only, one-to-one voice-calling app for a small trusted group of family and friends. There is no sign-up page, no phone number, no public directory, and no way to search for or be found by people you haven't connected with. The only way two people become reachable to each other is by one of them redeeming an invite the other issued.

By using TringTring you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

3. Invites and connections

• Each invite link is single-use and meant for one specific person.
• When you redeem an invite, a private connection is created between you and the person who invited you. That connection is visible only to the two of you.
• If you already have an account and you open someone's invite, it simply adds them as a new contact.
• You are responsible for who you invite and who you accept. Only invite people you actually want to be reachable to.
• You can remove a connection at any time. Doing so drops you off each other's contact lists and ends any call in progress. It can be undone later by connecting again.

4. Acceptable use

Use TringTring lawfully and decently. Don't use it to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, to break the law, or to interfere with the service or other people's use of it. We can remove a connection or, in serious cases, an account, to keep the service safe for everyone.

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you where you are. Whether and how you may use a service like this is your responsibility, not ours.

5. What data we hold

We deliberately keep this tiny. We hold:

• Your name — the display name you chose when you set up.
• A device secret — a random value your device uses to prove it's you. It works like a password you never type; we store it so your device can sign in.
• Your connections — the list of who you're linked to, so calls can be routed. We do not store anyone's phone number, because we never collect one.
• A push token — only if you turn on ringing, so your phone can ring for an incoming call. You can turn this off.

What we do not hold

• We do not record, store, or listen to your calls. Call audio travels directly between the two phones where possible, or is relayed without being kept.
• There is no message store — TringTring is calling only.
• The call relay only ever sees our own server, never your real IP address, so we do not log where you are calling from.

6. Why we hold it, and how long

We process this data to provide the service you asked for — i.e. to let you set up, be reachable to your contacts, and place and receive calls (our lawful basis is the legitimate interest of running the service you signed up to use; the push token relies on your consent, which you can withdraw). We keep your data only while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your name, device secret, connections, and push token. Removing a single connection deletes just that link.

7. Your rights and choices

• See or delete your data: email admin@tringtring.app and we'll action it.
• Cut a connection: you can drop any contact, which removes that link for both of you.
• Stop ringing: turn off notifications for the app to stop the push token being used.
• Sign out: you can sign a device out at any time.

If you're in the UK or EU you also have rights under data-protection law (access, correction, erasure, objection, and to complain to a regulator such as the ICO). Email us first and we'll sort it.

8. Security

All traffic runs over standard encrypted web connections (TLS). Sign-in uses a per-device secret rather than a password you type. No method is ever perfectly secure, so keep your setup link private — anyone with it could sign in as you. If you think your link has leaked, contact us and we'll help reset things.

9. Availability — and not for emergencies

TringTring is a small, best-effort service run by one operator. It may be unavailable at times, for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we don't promise any particular level of uptime.

TringTring is not a telephone service and must not be relied on for emergency calls. It cannot reach emergency services (999, 112, 911, or any equivalent). Always keep another way to call for help.

10. No warranty & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss arising from the service being unavailable, from a call failing or dropping, or from how you or your contacts use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. Continuing to use TringTring after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
